Mobile Home Moving Services: Transport, Setup and Permits

Moving a mobile home takes more than a truck. Our own crews handle the whole job, from teardown, permits and escorts to transport and setup by licensed installers. We move single-wide, double-wide and modular homes across the country.

Our services

Everything It Takes to Move a Mobile Home

Pick one service or let us handle the whole move. Either way, one crew answers for the job.

Single-wide moving

Local and long-distance moves for single-section homes. See our single-wide moving service and single-wide transport checklist.

Double- and triple-wide moving

We split each section, haul them on separate loads and rejoin them on site. See our double-wide moving service and what goes into moving a double-wide.

Setup and installation

Blocking, leveling, anchoring and rejoining sections by licensed installers. See our setup and installation service and why setup matters.

Permits and escorts

Transport permits, pilot cars and route planning around width limits and travel times. See how we handle moving permits.

Teardown and prep

Utilities disconnected, skirting, steps and decks removed, and the home secured for the road.

Utility hookups and skirting

Water, sewer and electric reconnected and skirting reinstalled so the home is ready to live in.

Re-leveling and re-blocking

Homes settle over time. We re-level and re-block homes that haven’t moved at all.

Park-to-park moves

Moving between communities? We coordinate access, timing and setup rules with both parks.

Homes we move

The Types of Homes We Move

Every home moves a little differently. Here’s what each one involves.

Single-wide homes

One section, one load. Most single-wides travel on their own chassis with axles and tires checked before the trip, and many are narrow enough for simpler permits.

Double-wide homes

Two sections split at the marriage line, sealed for the road and hauled separately. On site we rejoin the sections, seal the roof and floor seams and reconnect the crossovers.

Triple-wide and larger

Three or more sections take more trucks, more permits and careful planning at both ends. We map the route and the site so every section arrives in order.

Modular and manufactured homes

We move HUD-code manufactured homes and modular sections, and set them to the installation rules where they land.

Pricing

How Much Do Mobile Home Moving Services Cost?

Most of our moves cost between $2,000 and $15,000. The price mostly depends on:

  • Home size: double- and triple-wides need more trucks and a split and rejoin.
  • Distance: across town costs less than across the state, or out of state.
  • Permits and escorts: wider homes need more permits and pilot cars.
  • Site access: tight parks, steep drives and rural lots.
  • Setup scope: blocking, leveling, anchoring, utilities and skirting.

FAQ

Mobile Home Moving Services FAQs

What mobile home moving services do you offer?

The whole move or any part of it: teardown and prep, transport permits and escorts, transport, setup by licensed installers, utility hookups, skirting and re-leveling.

Do you move single-wide and double-wide homes?

Yes. We move single-wides, double-wides, triple-wides and modular sections. Multi-section homes are split, hauled separately and rejoined on site.

Who gets the permits to move a mobile home?

We do. We get the transport permits and escorts for every state on the route. In many states the owner has to pay the home’s property taxes and get a tax receipt first, and we’ll tell you what yours requires.

Do you set up the home after the move?

Yes. Our licensed installers block, level and anchor the home, rejoin sections, reconnect utilities and reinstall skirting.

How much do mobile home moving services cost?

Most of our moves cost $2,000 to $15,000. The price depends on home size, distance, permits and escorts, site access and how much setup you need. Your quote is free.

Can you move a mobile home to another state?

Yes. We move homes between states and get the permits for every state on the route, then set the home up to the rules where it lands.

How long does a mobile home move take?

It depends on permits, distance and setup. Some states only issue permits for certain days and daylight hours, and wind or weather can delay a move. We give you a timeline with your quote.

Can you move an older mobile home?

Often, yes. Homes built before the June 15, 1976 HUD code can face extra rules in some states and parks, so we check the home and the destination’s rules before we quote.
